Privacy Policy

DayLock — by Simdan Labs Ltd • Last updated: 24 March 2026

The short version: DayLock stores all your planning data (time blocks, alarms, analytics) locally on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or sell any personal data. The only third parties involved are Apple / Google (payment processing) and RevenueCat (subscription management), which operate under their own privacy policies.

1. Who We Are

DayLock is developed and operated by Simdan Labs Ltd, a company registered in the United Kingdom. If you have any questions about this policy, you can contact us at:

privacy@simdanlabs.com

2. What Data We Collect

Data stored only on your device (never transmitted to us):

All of the above is stored in a local SQLite database on your device. Simdan Labs does not have access to this data. It never leaves your device unless you explicitly back it up using your device's own backup mechanism (iCloud Backup / Google Drive Backup).

Data we do not collect:

3. In-App Purchases & Subscriptions

DayLock offers an optional DayLock Pro subscription (£7.99/month). Purchases are processed entirely by the App Store (Apple) or Google Play (Google). We do not receive or store your payment card details.

We use RevenueCat to manage subscription entitlements across platforms. RevenueCat receives an anonymous purchase receipt and a randomly assigned user identifier to determine whether your account has an active Pro subscription. RevenueCat's privacy policy is available at revenuecat.com/privacy.

4. Over-the-Air Updates

DayLock uses Expo Updates to deliver app improvements without requiring a full App Store / Play Store release. When the app checks for updates, it sends minimal technical metadata (app version, runtime version, platform) to Expo's update servers. No personal data is included. Expo's privacy policy is available at expo.dev/privacy.

5. Notifications & Alarms

DayLock schedules local notifications and alarms on your device to remind you of your time blocks. This is performed entirely on-device using the operating system's notification APIs. We do not use push notification services; alarms are triggered locally without any network call.

6. Children's Privacy

DayLock is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in the European Economic Area). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

7. Data Retention & Deletion

Because all app data is stored locally on your device, you are in full control:

For RevenueCat subscription data, you can request deletion by contacting privacy@simdanlabs.com and we will submit a deletion request to RevenueCat on your behalf.

8. Your Rights (GDPR / UK GDPR)

If you are located in the United Kingdom or European Economic Area, you have the following rights regarding any personal data we process:

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@simdanlabs.com. We will respond within 30 days.

9. Security

Your data is stored in a local SQLite database on your device, protected by your device's operating system security model (sandboxing, encryption at rest when enabled). We do not transmit your planning data over the network, which minimises exposure to external security risks.

10. Third-Party Links & Services

This policy covers DayLock only. Any third-party services referenced (Apple, Google, RevenueCat, Expo) are governed by their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those services.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will notify you via an in-app notice. Continued use of DayLock after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
